Hi, I’m Joe. I am a Musical Director, Singing Teacher and Choir Leader. My passion lies in Musical Theatre.
I have Musically Directed a number of amateur dramatic societies and run adult and children’s choirs.
I have a passion for teaching student to use their voice safely and effectively!
I am an accomplished musical arranger and songwriter and have arranged for choirs, theatre groups, and community groups.
I have also co-written sings and orchestral arrangements with a local record label.
I enjoy sharing and teaching music to the students I meet. I have a passion for Choral Singing and want to ‘Get Britain Singing!’
Music has to be fun. If it’s fun, even though it might be hard work, the students will enjoy the challenge!
MUSICAL DIRECTOR
Joe is a trained Musical Director with over 10 years experience. With a charming, professional and humorous approach he will get the best out of your performers; the way they perform, the reason for doing so, the depth of harmony and the detailing. With high quality modern technology, Joe is able to create an array of styles and sounds to suit any environment; both live and in the studio. If you’re a producer with multiple productions, Joe can be your Supervisor; travelling with you from venue to venue, providing other musicians & directors to run each show, whilst still receiving the vocal tuition and coaching from Joe at the beginning. Whatever your production or performance needs, he along with his partners will be able to give you outstanding results.
CHOIR LEADER
Joe has a wealth of experience working with choirs, both adult and children’s. With an emphasis on fun and enjoyment, Joe excels at getting the best from his choristers. Joe has rehearsed and directed a number of choirs for various events including the Preston Guild Ecumenical Service 2012, Corporate Awards Evenings, Real Radio and he has also taken choirs to national competitions and choral festivals. Joe is experienced in a wide variety of styles and settings of choral music, whether it be classical, contemporary, sacred, musical theatre; unison through to divided SATB.
SINGING TEACHER
Joe is fast becoming one of Lancashire’s most sought after Vocal Coaches. With a wealth of experience, he can tailor a programme to suit you. Having worked with singers and speakers across the country, in various settings, from 1-to-1 to large groups, community projects to full scale musicals, Joe’s attention to detail and method of working ensures he always gets the desired results. Having taught a wide variety of students from complete beginners to professionals; actors, singers and other professional voice users, achievements of past students include: gaining professional work in the industry, west end shows, placements at top London performing arts colleges and regular distinctions in ABRSM, TRINITY, Rock School and LCM vocal examinations. Joe works with all styles of singing and speaking.
